hey guys,
i need your help! im in the middle of making my project (aptly named in the title) which consists of a interactive virtual mapping program, that i have developed in flash, that catalogues snapshots of city life around the world. for this project im obviously just focusing on melbourne…it is hoped this program will become a web based system that people can feed into and share their experiences and fav spaces of respite etc etc (sortove like a lonely planet concept or like those decks of cards – bar & club secrets)…a type of tourist guide for residents already in the city…heres where u can come in…ive already catalogued a few of my fav spaces in the city eg. my fav lunch spot, my fav running track, etc etc spaces that i personally use and enjoy…spaces that may differ from the more traditional tourist attraction circuit…spaces that locals can identify and connect with….
it would be great if i can get some of your fav spaces so i can include them into my program for presentation….they can be any spaces you like in the cbd and surrounding area! “c’mon create you own city postcard!” (haha sorry for the corny ad gimmick) all you need to do is email me the folowing: 1/name of your space 2/describe it – why you like it etc 3/ how to get there…is there a special way…a short cut? 3/ a pic would b get you lollies and a special hi 5…

anything goes guys….(except maybe strippers) its not that much of an underground tourist guide…. let me know ya thoughts….peace….dimitri

Does anyone know if there is a uniform length/width for the material from Fermata 01. I remember Liam talking about it but did we decide on a size?
“Convergence”
This is the final book.
This book is your “brief” for your design intervention for the final event (fermata 3) on
Thursday the 2nd November opening at 5pm.
This will need to relate to
a) the design studio agenda
b) your take on sites of respite
c) your studies and explorations of sound and the city so far
The book acts as an opportunity to collect, refine and clearly communicate your ideas/propositions.
It will be presented to a panel for assessment on Thursday the 26th of October from 9:30-6:30.
Therefore your book will need to function as a public presentation.
The due dates for books 4 and 5 have been modified.
Draft versions are due on Thursday the 26th of October from 9:30-6:30
Final and revised versions are now due on Friday the 10th at 9:30 am
on level four, building 87.
